The Ark (Southern Cross Luxe Cruises) is a 4 years old private yacht, designed and construction supervised by a renowned naval architect from BUET's Naval Architecture department. The ARK has a steel hull and full steel structure with full wooden interior & exterior cabins and spacious entertainment/dining lounge having fully wooden interior. It is 90ft long and 24 ft wide powered by a powerful Japanese marine diesel engine and has a maximum speed of 12 knots.

The ARK features nine cozy tastefully appointed individual air-conditioned cabins with en-suite western bathrooms. Four cabins have queen-sized beds, and four cabins have (7ft x 3ft) two bunk beds each. In addition there is one master suite that has five bed capacity with 32" Philips LCD TV and Philips 6-speaker home theater system. All cabins have wooden floors and walls, large (35 sq ft) tinted windows with double-glazed window panes to reduce noise and heat. All the cabins are fitted with ample electric fans, lights, and power points and have shelves, drawers and hooks for storage of personal belongings. Our linens and towels are top quality 100% cotton and all our beds have six inches orthopedic mattresses. The ARK is also equipped with appropriate Bilge Keel to reduce rolling and pitching on rough water. The air-conditioned Entertainment/Dining lounge (450 sq ft) sits up to 24 people in 6 tables. Besides dining, this room is also used as a lounge as the room is fitted with a Philips 47" LCD TV with a powerful 6 speaker Philips home theatre system with Blu-Ray player.

For power supply we have one 55Kva and one backup 15Kva generator, which are ample for the yacht's requirements. The ARK has four separate decks with open common space of 1600 sq ft. The main deck, top deck, front deck and rear deck are equipped with large fans, mattresses and chairs for relaxation. Both main & top decks also have retractable waterproof canopies to keep out the sun and enjoy the stars. The main deck, top deck and the rear deck also have retractable insect nettings. The main deck has six powerful Kenwood speakers with JVC DVD/CD players. Two gym quality exercise cycles are available on board.

The ARK has a fully functional airy modern hygienic kitchen with latest Whirlpool/Philips kitchen appliances and proper refrigeration facilities consisting of three large double-door freezer/refrigerator and two large stand alone freezers. Our excellent trained chef serves you fresh mouthwatering dishes in extremely stringent hygienic conditions.

The ARK has enhanced safety features like smoke detectors in all cabins, kitchen, engine room, bridge, crew cabins etc. Ample brand new life jackets and life buoys are available on board. Fire extinguishers are strategically placed all over the yacht. Top quality first-aid kits and general medicines are available. It has 16000 liters of fresh deep tube-well water storage capacity in four separate tanks. Our trained and professional staff (9 personnel) are ready to give you round the clock courteous service while you are on board. The ARK also has 5 way CC TV (including night vision) to safely navigate through all types of weather (day or night) – enabling the captain and his crew to safely monitor the yacht with 360 degree vision through a 17" monitor on the captain’s bridge.

The ARK has three support boats:

One 35 plus persons ocean certified (unsinkable) lifeboat (30ft x 9.5ft) with 40 HP marine engine.

One 20 person sea-going Italian made (unsinkable) double-hull Powerboat (30ft x 9.5ft) with two Yamaha 85 HP engines and powerful stereo on board. Rental at BDT. 17,000 per hour.

One 6 person sea-going Japanese made Yamaha (unsinkable) double-hull speedboat (16.9ft x 7ft) with 65 HP engine and stereo on board. Rental at BDT. 8,500 per hour.
